One of the great things about Norwescon is that the writing workshop consists of: three pros, a member of the Fairwood Writers Group (who are really cool), and the writer with their story. That's it. No critiques required of the writer, just show up and get grilled. Excellent! Also, they let you bring two stories (and thus have two sessions) if they have room. Double excellent!
Panel #1: Saturday at 11:00 AM
David Silas, Ray Vukcevich, Spencer Ellsworth and Leslie Howle will be critiquing my story "The Fishing Trip"
Panel #2: Saturday at 2:00 PM
Darragh Metzger, G. David Nordley and LJ Bothell will be critquing my story "The Game of Chase"
Both are on Saturday! I'm going to be a nervous wreck all morning and completely brain-fried by 3PM.
There's also going to be a workshop led by Mary Rosenblum on "Writing a Synopsis" (Thursday early evening) and a workshop led by Ken Scholes on something TBD Friday at noon. Those look good too.
I'm arriving at Norwescon on Thursday around noon, then heading back Sunday around three. Norwescon was an absolute blast last year, so I'm really looking forward to it.
