Yeff on Stuff

All of a sudden, the laptop mouse won't move to the lower half of the screen. And I'm like "what the heck is going on?" I look at the trackpad and there's water on it and I think "where did the water come from?"

Then I realize: A minute before, I was watching a LOTR parody on YouTube and had my ear really close to the speaker so I could hear. And my mouth was open.

The "water" was drool.

My brain is definitely turning to mush.

El Vez, the Mexican Elvis. I saw him in concert many years ago in San Jose, it was absolutely great, and his Christmas Album (Merry Mex-Mas) is a holiday staple in our house.

Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Seriously, this is like an entire day that can be wasted on this site.

I am now in the Major League on Pinch Hitter 2, the Most Addicting Game Ever, and I'm stuck at level 9. I need 20,000 points to clear the level. I just got 19,023. Argh! So very close...

While reading LCRW #21 (Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet) today, a story there re-sparked an idea that's been buzzing around my brain and gave it enough twist that I decided to write part of it tonight.

It's currently called "When The Party of the First Part Met The Party of the Second Part, with Addendum and Rider". In a nutshell, it's set in a world where all human actions and interactions are tightly, legally regulated and thus no matter what you do, you need a contract and legal advice. Now, try having a romance in this world.

I sat and cranked 1101 words on the story and it was kind of fun. Of course, this means I now have *four* stories active: "When Crogdor Came Back", "Real Space" (rewrite), "The Dybbuk's Moll", and this one.

That's too many. I really need to get back to focusing on Crogdor and Real Space because they are the current stories. The others can wait.

Distraction mind, focus! I said, focus!
