U2 3D and more ::dreams of motion::

C and I went to go see U2 3D at the IMAX last night and it was excellent. Like being at a concert, but having a special magical seat that flew all over the stage. The 3D was pretty good, I could see some artifacts and some flatness in the different planes (especially when the extra text effects were added) but overall it definitely added to the experience.

Best parts were: the songs, of course; the giant LED-esque wall behind the band on which they did all sorts of visual tricks; a crowd shot where it looked like an undulating carpet of people; and the performance of the band (who I've only seen live once, about 20 years ago, and never like this).

Overall, highly recommended and perhaps a requirement for U2 fans.

In other news, another motion dream last night. In this one, I was driving around some sort of campsite/city mix and all the other drivers were being really impatient and hurried and honking and zooming around me. I was getting quite irritated. When I woke up at 4:30 am, I asked my subconscious for something a little less stressful. I think it complied, as I was a lot mellower when I finally got out of bed at 8:30.

The heavy amount of work over the last week or two means today is a catch-up day, on email and financials and household and even writing. Off to it.
