bald man looking up

the election is almost here

Tomorrow C and I will head down to the community center to vote. We're not sure how much of a line there will be, so we're going before the lunch rush but after the before-work lunch. I'm sure that tomorrow will be a day where not a lot happens besides the election and the wondering about the election.

Tomorrow night the whole family is going to a Barack Obama party. I'm hoping we'll be there if (when?) Barack Obama is announced as the next President of the United States.

After that, the real hard work begins to put back together a country broken up by politics and the economy. It's going to be hard to get the economy back on a positive track; it's going to be hard to work against the hate and fear brought up by the negative campaigning; it's going to be hard to work against the "well poisoning" happening in the campaign and in the final days of the administration.

But all the energy going into the Obama campaign will hopefully translate into energy to make the policies work. And that will be the hardest part of all. I'm up for it! Of course, I don't have any direct responsibilities for that...
