YuleTube: "Fairytale of New York"

It's the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl, singing what is often voted in UK polls as The Best Christmas Song Ever. The great "Irish punk pop" music of the Pogues; Shane MacGowan with his slurring and growling; the late MacColl has a superbly expressive voice; and a song with its downs and occasionally some ups. It's definitely on my list of favorites. The line "I could have been someone / Well, so could anyone" always rings in my head.
