things that are fun to watch while listening to Philip Glass

At the delayed family birthday party yesterday one of my gifts was the 3-CD set of "Einstein on the Beach", Philip Glass's first opera. Wild stuff, full of the musical style more people heard in his soundtrack for "Koyannisquatsi".

While listening to the 3+ hours of CDs today, several things made great visual accompaniment to the music:

- Trees outside the window swaying in the breeze

- The output of a massive code build, consisting of text scrolling by in a console window

- This video of the view from a sushi restaurant conveyor belt (courtesy BoingBoing).

- A "warp travel with stars" screen saver

Really, I *did* get a lot done today.
