Werewolves of Alabama???

On the way to take E to a class at the university, a song started on the radio. Recognizing the beginning, I said "Why is this station playing Werewolves of London?" as the station was a popular current rock/hip-hop station.

The song then shifted to someone else singing about days by the lake and morphed into the styles of "Sweet Home Alabama", including an actual call out to the song.

Turns out the song is "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock (video), and it borrows liberally from both songs. Hey Kid, how about a call-out to Mr. Zevon too?

I'd never noticed the similarity between "Werewolves of London" (video) and "Sweet Home Alabama" (song) before. Still, of the three, "Werewolves of London" is by far my favorite.

Though "Werewolves of Alabama" sounds like the idea germ of a very interesting story.
