I finally got to see WALL-E tonight, after eagerly waiting since it came out. It was incredibly cute, touching, fun, exciting, and the visuals and the sound effects were spectacular. Lots and lots of robots and some great spaceship shots, two things I enjoyed tremendously.
It took me about five minutes to figure out that the annoying blinking blue light I was seeing was *not* actually part of the movie, but was the Bluetooth earpiece of the person in front of me. (A funny note, given the state of humans in the movie). Once they kindly turned it off, I was able to really sink my attention into the movie.
I want to go back and see it again, on a bigger screen, and catch all the little things I know I missed. I caught a couple (*) but I'm sure there's plenty more.
Highly recommended. Great for the whole family. Our five-year-old niece, V, liked it a lot as did (eight-year-old) A.
(*) Little things I caught:
- When the "receptionist" robot with the big red eye is typing on the keyboard, the keys are all 1s and 0s.
- Sigourney Weaver is the voice of one of the computers.
- The big trash compactors on the spaceship are named "WALL-R". I missed what the "R" was for.
