Yesterday, July 23, was the 8th birthday of my younger daughter Ava (who I call "A" on the public LJ). Eight years ago she entered our life and there's never a dull moment. (There's never a dull moment with our older daughter, either, but it's in a different way).
Ava had what for her was certainly an awesome day. Donuts for breakfast, a big sign and party with cupcakes at Kids Klub (day care), Round Table pizza for dinner, Chocolate Mousse Royale cake and ice cream, and fun games of "Apples to Apples" and "Battleship". (Sugary junk food is an important component of an awesome day for Ava.) About the only thing missing was a viewing of an "Air Bud" movie, but I'm sure she'll get to that this weekend.
Here's two pictures of Ava climbing a pole at Frye's. It's just the kind of kid she is. Happy Birthday Ava!
