a day at the alma mater

I'm going to be doing some volunteering for Stanford over the next couple months doing admission outreach, going to college fairs and talking about the school and encouraging people to apply. So I took a trip down today to see the school and wander around.

It's changed a lot! There's a whole part of campus (the engineering and science quad) that wasn't there when I was there. But enough of the school is the same that I enjoyed walking around campus and hitting all the old haunts.

I also made a stop by Jing Jing in Palo Alto and brought home a couple orders of Szechaun Dan Dan Mein. Yum yum. That got a very good reception.

Now it's watching the Emmys, prepping for a math contest presentation tomorrow and a college night tomorrow night, and hopefully getting some writing done. Busy days, these are.
