Greatest. Demo. Ever.

December 9, 1968: Douglas Englebart and his SRI group do a demo called "A Research Center For Augmenting Human Intellect".

You name it, it was in that demo. The mouse. Cut and paste on-screen text editing. Hyperlinks. File links. Real-time collaboration with audio and video conference. Computer developments that have become commonplace in the last 40 years but were revolutionary back then.

The demo is available online at a Stanford-run site, both in parts and as the entire 100 minute demo. Stanford News had a recent article about the anniversary of the demo and an associated association last week.
