The New Yorker does Dracula, and AT-ATs
Now that's a post title.

There's a long-ish article on vampires and Dracula by Joan Acocella in the March 23 New Yorker. It's available online. Well worth a read.

I enjoyed the article, which looks at both history and interpretation. There's quite a few Annotated Draculas, and I hadn't realized the connection of Frankenstein to an early vampire story (quite fascinating, that connection).

In other news, via BoingBoing here's a Flickr set covering the secret life of AT-ATs. Now I have to get an AT-AT. They're so cute!

Those AT-AT photos are hilarious (and really well done, too). I have the NYer article in another tab for later reading.

Instant AT-AT lust after seeing those photos.

Glad you enjoyed the links!
