Flip video camera = Completely Awesome
At the school fundraiser Saturday night, in the silent auction, we acquired a Flip Video Camera (WARNING: loud video at the link).

I finally got a chance to play with it today, and this thing is Totally and Completely Awesome.

I had it up and running in about 2 minutes. It takes very nice quality video with sound. It stores 60 minutes of video. It has an embedded USB port so you just plug it into the computer and away you go. It works with both PCs and Macs. Even transferring and saving video is a snap, what with all necessary software stored on the camera itself.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. I'm totally impressed. I see a future that involves more video. Much more video.

Highly recommended.

We have one of those too, and it's killer!

I was rather impressed. Take video, plug into Mac, get video. IN no time flat.

I see much potential for impromptu (and possibly embarassing) video posts. That is, if I can keep my 15-year-old daughter from claiming the camera...

Because of some old Circuit City gift cards, when I was wandering a Circuit City superstore at their closing, I picked up a Sony version of a Flip essentially for free. Stuck an 8GB Memory Stick Duo in it, and now I can do USB or memory stick transfer. Has an amazing number of "features".

Will have to play with it.

They're definitely cool, based on my experience with the Flip. I'm certainly sold!

Mmm love the Flip. Now I just have to actually take that last step of POSTING all the video I take on YouTube! (I do seem to have some excellent masquerade karaoke footage, for example...)

I *knew* I'd seen one in action before. It was at the party, wasn't it?

Glad you and Heather and Kim had a good retreat. It was probably Room 50, all over again, and even more productive!
