UConn controlled the game from the start. Too much speed, too much quickness. Stanford threw the ball away waaaaaay too many times and never got any offensive rebounds. Jayne Appel was about the only offense they had the whole game
At the start of the second half, when Stanford turned the ball over twice and UConn scored twice to make an 18 point lead, I said "It's over." I suspected as much at halftime, but the second half start sealed it for me. I still watched it to the bitter end, cause I always root for my school, but that was tough.
I fully expect UConn will win the whole thing. That was a good, *good* team.
Oh well. Maybe next year if Stanford can find a good, quick point guard (calling Candace Wiggins, please come back) they can make it back to the Final Four. We'll see...
