Judas Priest, Wigs, and Creativity (subtitle: A Strange and Wondrous Dream)

I had a good dream last night.

I was at a Judas Priest concert ("Hell Bent For Leather", I believe was the song playing) and the lead singer was wearing this ridiculous "70s heavy metal long hair" wig. It was ridiculous because I knew he was this balding, middle-aged guy.

So I told him to take off the wig. I might have even jumped on the stage. He finally did take off the wig, and I put it on to show him how silly it looked.

I then lectured him about how it was important to not cling to your old ways, to not keep singing the old songs, but to try new things as an artist. My big emphatic statement was "Creative people need challenges to grow!"

Isn't *that* a lecture from the old subconscious! Especially since I'm in the middle of challenging myself with depth of character. Good to see that the unconscious mind approves.

Now, where's that old wig? :-)
