the real world is the strangest place of all, especially where eyelashes are concerned
While at the fitness center this morning I saw an ad, starring Brooke Shields, for Latisse, an eyelash-enhancing drug. I thought it was a joke. An eyelash drug? An EYELASH drug?! Are you kidding me?!?!

Well, it's not a joke. Here's an interesting news article about Latisse. It costs $4/day, and if you stop using it your long eyelashes go away. (Consumer Reports also has an article on the potential side effects).

I am here to state, unequivocally, that the length of eyelashes (or lack thereof) has never been a factor for me in a person's attractiveness.

Eyelash inadequacy. Amazing. What's next?

As a note, Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert on "LOST"; the Mayor of Gotham in THE DARK KNIGHT), will *not* be a Latisse spokesperson any time soon. Those are his natural lashes. I wonder if Brooke Shields has a dartboard with Richard's picture on it! :-)
