whole lotta writing this weekend
On Saturday and Sunday I did a full revision/rewrite of "Green Tears on Black Velvet" in preparation for sending it (late) to SacSpecFic for this week's meeting. Hopefully they'll forgive me for my lateness (I blame vacation) and at least give the story a once-over to see how it works overall.

Next I need to critique everyone else's stories/chapters by meeting time. I also have a couple other critiques to do for some Internet pals as part of critique trading.

After that it's crank through any final fixes on stories for the anthology invite I received back at Norwescon. I ended up with two stories on the theme ("Green Tears" and "Hair That Binds") so I'll have to figure out which one to send them. Maybe I'll mention the other when I send the first, in case the first doesn't quite tickle the editor's fancy. They really are two rather different stories.

And then it's rework the story I'm sending to the Orycon Writers Workshop and get it out the door by the deadline.

This is all in the midst of family, and life, and work, and ramping up the math contest activities because school is starting soon, and keeping fit and playing footy (playoff game this weekend!)

It just never ends, does it?

Nope, I'm pretty sure it never does end, until it really does end in that most final of fashions. Still, I admire that you're rocketing along on the writing work in the midst of it all, and am impressed at the sheer variety of activity you've got going on! Keep juggling...

Well it feels more like a long, slow slog through mud than rocketing, but it's still progress! And thanks for the admiration, even if I'm not sure I deserve it.

A couple more hands, or another clone, and I could handle the juggling just fine! I'll have to work on that. At WFC, we can all sit down and compare life-juggling notes and hints. I know things are pretty crazy-busy for you too!
