today's 80s video that you had tried to forget
Courtesy the "80s Hits" channel at my fitness center, it's "Warrior" by Scandal.

Ah, yes. The faux-CATS costumes and choreography. The strange facial paint. The inexplicable plotline (plotline?). The funny guy in the stripey costume who is alternately thumbs-up happy and cross-eyed confused, while he keeps score in some giant pool game happening somewhere else. The hair. The Eighties hair. Really, what more could you want in an 80s video?

Funny that this group also did "Goodbye to You", which is a very catchy song and video (with the classic "We just got a visual effects box" video).

Holy crap. That's like a bad acid-trip flashback. Oh wait...maybe it IS!

Good retro fun! It kind of reminds me of the Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself viedo:

They certainly are similar. I wonder if they had the same visual stylist and choreographer.

Though I'm still trying to figure out what the electricity-generated blasting of dancing zombies has to do with self-pleasuring. But hey, it's Billy's video...

I still love that album. I still love Patty Smyth, for that matter. Did you know she sang back-up on some Don Henley albums and is married to John McEnroe? Fabulous singer.

But yeah, whoa, that video.

It's really very representative of 80s videos.

I'd forgotten about the John McEnroe link. Wild.

I don't care what anyone says, I miss the 80's videos.
