But I have to pick something. So I will pick _ELFQUEST_. I just finished the trade paperback that collects the first 30 issues of the classic "early indie" comic book. I enjoyed it. The characters were engaging, the plotline was full of issues and resolutions (often at a cost), and there were unexpected turns of character and plot. It was very "high fantasy" with characters speaking in the high fantasy language, but it was also down-to-earth at time. I'd say read it and enjoy it for what it is, and you'll be happy.
So, ELFQUEST it is.
