sitting in Boise, waiting on a plane

I'm hanging out at HP Boise, waiting to go back to the airport where I'll get some gifts for C/E/A, have a burrito or pizza, do some writing, then hit the 9pm plane back to Sacramento.

"It's Your Career" was good and I enjoyed it. It was based on the principles of Appreciative Inquiry, where you ask questions about work experiences and environments and use the answers to understand what you want from work. (Actually, it could apply to anything, but here it was used for work).

I got a better handle on what I was looking for from work and what my "ideal" work situation would be. From that I was able to start designing a plan to see what was lacking in my current work situation and how I could start getting things in place.

Overall, I found IYC useful and it really helped me with getting a handle on making my work environment something that has more value to me.
